Hello and thanks for caring to know a little bit more about me!
I am an aspiring Information Security professional with right around 6 years of Information Technology experience under my belt so far. For the past year or two I’ve gradually become more focused upon Information Security. This became much less gradual in the summer of 2008 when I got my first full time Information Security gig at a fortune 200 company on a small yet hardworking team. It has been my only focus from there on out.
I recently graduated college with my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and am continuing my education through security certifications as money becomes available for them.
Soon after graduating in December 2008, I went down to Washington DC for Shmoocon. I highly recommend this conference for any aspiring or established Information Security professionals as it was one of the best decisions I made on my path.
Currently I am writing for LiquidMatrix Security Digest and doing some consulting work writing policy, standards, process details and other implementation artifacts for a non profit organization.
I’m growing more and more grateful of everybody helping me do my best breaking into this field. Honorable mention to my professor Kees Leune, Dave, James, and all you other Security Twits.
